My Background in the Recruitment Industry
7 years in outside recruitment: I’ve worked 3 different disciplines on a desk, as a recruiter / headhunter. Two areas of focus were ‘national market’, which means that I never met anyone: never a hiring manager, never a candidate –and lots of placements. Everything can happen in conversation, when we speak over the telephone. The other area of focus was then a local market desk, for Manhattan, suddenly meeting everyone in person. 3 ½ years as recruiting training manager, developing new recruiters across our offices nationwide. As VP of the 100 office recruiting chain, I dealt with enormously diverse scenarios on any given day, working directly with franchise owners, managing their business while they managed their own recruiting desk, and those of their recruiters.

It's about Understanding the Decision Process in Hiring
I’ve been privy to all those private conversations between myself and the manager; myself and the candidate; HR and myself. Even the spouses and significant others in many cases. So many things can effect the decision process. It’s understanding how decisions are made in the hiring process that makes me very skillful in presenting the ‘professional you’, with my full-service Resume Renovations, LinkedIn Renovations and my Career Coaching services.
